Two Canadair planes join fight against Lefkimmi fire

CORFU. Firefighting reinforcements have arrived and there are now (18:18) 25 firefighters, 8 fire engines, 2 Canadair and 2 PZL planes.
At the moment firefighters, residents and volunteers are fighting the fire.
The fire broke out just after 16:00 and at 18:00 it is still out of control, according to sources at the Regional Administration for Corfu. As a precautionary measure the order has been given for the village of Neohori to be evacuated.
