The Minister for Tourism said: "Our country knows how to protect its cultural resources and its environment. This done with the recommendation of the Greek State so there need be no fear from tourist development, which, in any case, is not intense development. This doesn't mean that we don't need active political management for the development of the complete tourist experience - this will be utilised where there is pressure on the infrastructure and branding is at a global level."
