Penelope Voltera is a painter, sculptor and poet. She was born and grew up in Athens, where she attended Athens Technological Institute. She started painting and moved to Corfu, where she still lives and works.

Retrospective art exhibition - "Angelos Giallinas (1857 - 1939) - With Corfiot light and colour"



The exhibition opens at the Municipal Art Gallery on Friday 26 July at 20:00.

Exhibition of Maps: "Corfu by the Great Cartographers"



Corfu Municipal Art Gallery is exhibiting some of the artistically and scientifically important maps of Corfu from its collection.

From Thursday 25 April the works of these cartographers will be on exhibition in chronological order, covering four centuries, allowing us to see the development of cartography from the 17th century Baroque period, when aesthetics dominated, to the early 19th century, when there was an almost complete absence of any decorative items.

The exhibition will display 15 engravings in the central room of the Gallery's Permanent Exhibition.

Operetta 'Miriella' by Alexandros Grek at the Municipal Theatre

Collection of food and basic necessities for victims in Albania



Ionian Islands Regional Administration is collecting donations for earthquake victims in Albania.

From Monday December 2 to Saturday December 7 donations of long-life packaged food, basic goods and clothing will be collected for the victims of the earthquake in Albania.

The donations will be collected in the entrance to the former Prefecture, Samara 13.

Recycling campaign continues in Kavalouri, North Corfu



There will be a recycling meeting in Kavalouri on Sunday 8 December at 11:30 at the rural surgery.

The meeting is being organised by the local councils from Kavalouri, Agrafi and Antiperni and North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris will be present along with the Councillor responsible for Recycling Spyridoula Kokkali, who will be giving a presentation.
