CORFU. The Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi posted a New Year΄s message on Facebook.
The Mayor of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Meropi Ydraiou posted a message for the New Year with her hope that 2020 will be a landmark year for Corfu.
Ms. Ydraiou posted a photograph on Facebook of herself at San Giacomo Old Town Hall on New Year's Eve dressed for the celebrations in the Square outside.
This is the message she posted to accompany the photograph:
"Happy New Year with health, love and prosperity for our home and our 'big' home - our Municipality. Best wishes also to those celebrating their name day. 2020 will be a landmark year for all of us and our island as well as the beginning of a splendid decade!!!"
