CORFU. The president of the Lawyers΄ Association, the Technical Chamber (TEEE), and the Chamber of Commerce are calling for an emergency and urgent meeting on Friday 12 April. Corfu MP: Submissions will be accepted up to November.

The deadline for the submission of property declarations to the Hellenic Land Registry by residents of the regions of Thesprotia and Corfu, for those residing in Greece, was extended until Friday, April 12, 2024, from February 12 of the current year, which now expires.

Corfu MP Stefanos Gikas: You can submit them after the deadline up to November.

Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas made the following statement: "As I have repeatedly stated, although the deadline for submitting declarations of real estate to the Land Registry for residents of Greece ends on April 13, 2024, citizens can use Law 5076/23 to submit overdue declarations - without a fine - up to the final deadline provided nationwide, which is November 30, 2024. However, property owners in areas included in the cadastral process are encouraged to submit their declarations as soon as possible, either through local Cadastre Offices or digitally, in order to avoid subsequent legal disputes."

Ionian Islands Regional Council requests extension until end of year

The Ionian Islands Regional Council requested an extension until the end of the year (31/12/24) for the cadastre. According to its decision, which was unanimous, "... The main reasons for the delay still exist. The council, sensing the concern of the local community, hoping for the proper and qualitative implementation of the Cadastre project on the island and the protection of citizens' property, asks the government and the competent minister to provide the necessary and sufficient time for this, considering December 31, 2024, as a realistic completion date."

Emergency meeting

The president of the Lawyers' Association, Yiannis Kontos, called for an emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association, the President of the Technical Chamber Yiannis Metallinos, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce Giorgos Ninos, at the headquarters of the Lawyers' Association, on Friday at 10:00 a.m., regarding the failure to grant an extension to the cadastre in Corfut.
