CORFU. The kick-off meeting for ΄InnoNets΄ will take place at the Faliraki conference room on Tuesday 27 November at 10:00.

The project is co-funded by InterregV-A Greece-Italy 2014-2020, the Ionian Islands Region - key stakeholder with a budget of 260,102 Euros - Corfu Chamber of Commerce and from Italy Apulia Region, Bari Polytechnic Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DICAR) and Apulia Regional Cooperative and Mutual League (LegacoopPuglia).

Thessaloniki Hellenic-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Basilicata University from Italy are non-funding partners.

The InnoNets project is being funded as part of the Priority Axis 1: Stimulating Innovation and Competitiveness programme and focusses on cross-border mediation and the creation of an Innovation Centre for the provision of support services for innovations in micro and small enterprises involved in the primary sector.

The project's aim is to establish a producers' group in the Ionian Islands Region and to strengthen the primary sector with scientific know-how and its application on the spot.

The methodology of the project involves the creation of three cross-border thematic workshops which will create a strong innovation hub for the provision of services. Methodology models and tools will be employed which outline the procedure to transfer innovations from research organizations to producers according to the thematic axes.

The ideas and needs of the agri-food sector need to be passed on to the Innovation Centre and will be included in one platform which will make the innovations available for each producer.
