Flight arrivals continue to increase - this weekend΄s figures

CORFU. Bearing in mind the health crisis, July began well at Corfu Airport.

According to the President of the Civil Aviation Employees' Union Dimitris Roussos, there were 69 international flights on Saturday 3rd compared to 52 the previous week and 63 on Sunday 4th compared to 44 the previous week.

Germany remains top of the list with 35 flights over the weekend followed by Poland with 17, UK with 14, France and Italy with 12 each, Austria with 5 and 4 each from Czech Republic, Netherlands and Belgium. There were 3 from each of Spain, Switzerland and Israel, 2 from Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Serbia and 1 from each of Cyprus, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Russia, Bulgaria, Latvia. Slovenia and Ukraine.

Today, Monday 5 July, 31 international flights are expected - 2 more than last Monday.

Ryanair domestic flights have already started with Heraklion every Thursday and Sunday and the airline's flights to Barcelona have increased with 5 flights a week to Barcelona. Along with Copenhagen, twice-weekly flights to Aarhus have also begun.

Aegean Air now has a connection with Moscow, Ryanair has flights to Nis in Serbia every Wednesday and Sunday and Wizzair has started flights to Bari in Italy every Tuesday and Saturday.
