27th International Folk Dance Festival - Sinies 2026
CORFU. Corfu welcomes cultures from around the world from June 24 to June 28, in North Corfu and in the town.
Sinies Cultural and Educational Society in North Corfu announces the 27th International Folk Dance Festival - Sinies 2026, which will take place from June 24 to June 28, 2026, in North Corfu and in Corfu Town.
An institution that for twenty-seven years has consistently served the values of tradition, cultural creativity, and international friendship returns this year as well, hosting groups from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Greece.
This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of the late Eleni Tsirimiagou, founding member of Sinies Cultural and Educational Society, who served culture, tradition, and collective action with dedication, leaving an indelible mark on the cultural life of the region.
The International Folk Dance Festival - Sinies has been established as one of the most important cultural events of Corfu and the Ionian Islands, serving as a reference point for the promotion of intangible cultural heritage and the development of bonds of cooperation between peoples and cultures.
Through music, dance, traditional costumes, and the customs of the participating countries, the festival creates a vibrant field of cultural dialogue, contributing to mutual understanding, respect for diversity, and the preservation of traditional values in a constantly changing world.
