Gold Award and First Place for “Agios Spyridon” Children’s and Youth Choir in Sweden

A major international success for Greek culture and Corfu’s musical tradition was achieved at the 2026 World Choir Games, one of the world’s most important choral music events, held in Helsingborg, Sweden.

The “Agios Spyridon” Children’s and Youth Choir won the Gold Medal and took first place, standing out among choirs from around the world.

This outstanding achievement is a recognition of the dedicated efforts of the young choristers, conductor Christina Kalliaridou, as well as the families and all those involved who supported the initiative.
