Christmas in the Old Town: ‘The Heavens Declare the Glory of God’
CORFU. Sunday 28 December at 19:00 at the Church of ST. Francis of Assisi.
The Municipal Regional Theatre of Corfu (DI.PE.TH.E.), in collaboration with the Parish of the Holy Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral, will present on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. a tribute to Virgin Mary, at the Historic Church of Saint Francis of Assisi (109 Nikiforou Theotoki Street).
An evening of music and poetry, featuring the recitation of contemporary poems by Greek and international poets, dedicated to Christmas.
The evening’s musical atmosphere will be shaped by Sakis Vlachopoulos (cello) and Rentona Kolla (violin).
Pantelis Kontos will perform Christmas songs and arias.
The actors Giorgos Vlachos, Katerina Georgaki, Vangelis Zikos, Natalia Kapodistria, Antonia Petropoulou, Marietta Savvani, and Sofia Tomprou will read Christmas poems.
The artistic direction of the tribute is by Petros Gallias.
Admission free to the public.
