New Year celebration for children
CORFU. Friday 2 January. The artistic director of the event is Petros Gallias.
The Municipal Regional Theatre (D.I.PE.TH.E.) and the Central Corfu Municipal Department of Culture are preparing a celebration for the local children on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Municipal Theatre.
Petros Gallias, together with the actors Katerina Georgaki and Giorgos Vlahos, will create—through the participation of the children—a fairy tale about Love, Peace, and World Brotherhood.
The children will be invited onto the stage, where everyone together—actors and children—will create the performance, with music, songs, and movement.
Of course, parents, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, and uncles who feel like children themselves and wish to participate will also be warmly welcomed on stage.
This celebration is an opportunity for children to become acquainted with theatrical practice, as well as with the beauty of coexistence, cooperation, and inclusion, values that theatre teaches us.
The artistic director of the celebration is Petros Gallias.
Admission is free to the public.
