CORFU. Two day festival for Virgin Mary the Guide, 22-23 August.
A large traditional panigiri will be held in Gastouri on August 22 and 23, marking the feast of Virgin Mary the Guide. The programme includes traditional music, dancing and festivities, with live traditional bands: on Saturday, the Spyros Kontis (“Kerkyraiki Parea”) band, and on Sunday, the Giorgos Mavromatis (“Horizontes”) band. Roast lamb, souvlaki and drinks will be available.
The event is organised by the 'Omonia' Gastouri Philharmonic Society and the 'Achilles' Association of Gastouri Residents from Around the World.
