(Corfu Art Gallery) A temporary exhibition featuring works by the Venetian painter Fulvio Galletta is opening at Corfu Art Gallery on Wednesday, May 28, at 20:00.
The title of the exhibition is:
“Corfu – Venice through the eyes and soul of Fulvio Galletta”
“Venezia – Corfù con gli occhi e l’anima di Fulvio Galletta”
Fulvio Galletta’s artistic development is shaped through study, training, and creative collaborations with esteemed Italian artists. He has chosen a path of continuous exploration, leading to personal choices and unique techniques. His artistic activity is not limited to painting; he has gained experience in blown glass workshops, works with clay, and focuses on the creation of artistic Venetian masks.
In this exhibition, Venice and Corfu engage in a creative, artistic and historical dialogue through Fulvio Galletta’s oil paintings and watercolours. His colourful palette captures sounds, images, and textures that emerge from the reflections of Venice’s calm waters and lagoon islets. At the same time, it depicts the Corfiot countryside and the urban landscape of Corfu’s Old Town, taking the viewer on a conceptual journey that balances between two timelessly enchanting and captivating places.
