Mother dead and daughter seriously injured following last night΄s road accident in Kouramades

Shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, a road accident occurred in the Kouramades area. Early reports indicate that two women, aged 48 and 75, were trapped inside the vehicle.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched. Two fire engines, police units, and an ambulance arrived at the scene.

Firefighters successfully freed one of the women, while the second, a 75-year-old, was pulled out unconscious.

The cause of the accident remains unclear and is under investigation by the Traffic Police.

In the latest update, unfortunately, the 75-year-old mother lost her life, while her 48-year-old daughter is hospitalised with serious injuries, but out of danger.
