Two tourists seriously injured after quad bike falls into ravine in Agios Georgios Pagon

There was an accident on Friday night, 18 September, in Agios Georgios Pagon, when a quad bike carrying two young foreign tourists veered off the road and fell down a ravine approximately two metres deep.

Firefighters from the Thinali Municipal Fire Station, a unit from the Special Disaster Response Unit (EMODE), and the Municipality’s Civil Protection team immediately rushed to the scene. Ultimately, the assistance of the rescue teams was not required to free the two tourists.

An ambulance was called to the scene, and paramedics took the two tourists — one of whom had sustained serious injuries — to hospital for first aid.
