Cruise fees from Monday 21 July
CORFU. The payment of the cruise fee will be made via an online fee voucher, which is issued exclusively via the app (e.hcg.gov.gr) by the shipping agent, the cruise company, or the Greek managing company of the cruise ship.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy has issued a circular announcing the commencement of the cruise fee app as of Monday, July 21. It states:
The payment of the cruise fee is made via an online fee voucher (e-paravolo), which is issued exclusively via the app (e.hcg.gov.gr) and is carried out by the shipping agent, the cruise company, or the Greek managing company of the cruise ship.
Scope of Implementation
The fee will be imposed on all cruise ship passengers, regardless of age and regardless of whether the disembarkation port is a transit port or a homeport. The fee will not be imposed on passengers disembarking for medical emergencies or on members of the cruise ship crew.
Obligated Parties for Declaration and Payment
On the day of the cruise ship’s departure from each port in Greece where passengers have disembarked, the shipping agents must submit a declaration via the online app, using their taxisnet credentials. They must provide the information outlined in paragraph 3 of article 3 of the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision.
This declaration serves as a formal statement with all corresponding legal consequences. If the cruise company has a Greek Tax Identification Number (AFM) or has delegated the ship’s management to a Greek management company, the declaration may also be submitted by their respective representatives.
To facilitate compliance, the app allows the declaration to be submitted not only by the obligated parties themselves, but also by an individual acting on their behalf using their personal taxisnet credentials (e.g., an employee of a shipping agency, an authorised accountant, etc.).
Responsible Parties for Payment of the Fee:

The shipping agent,

The Greek managing company, where applicable,

As well as their legal representatives, all of whom are jointly and severally liable.
Remittance and Payment of the Fee
The fee is to be remitted quarterly, by the last working day of the month following each calendar quarter. By exception, for the year 2025, the following applies:
a) For disembarkations at Greek ports from the effective date of the relevant KYA until September 30, 2025, the fee must be remitted by October 31, 2025.
b) For disembarkations at Greek ports from October 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, the fee must be remitted by January 30, 2026.
The payment of the cruise fee is carried out via an online fee voucher, which is issued exclusively through the aforementioned app and provides an RF payment code. The voucher is automatically committed upon payment.
