Corfu Labour Centre demonstration at airport

CORFU. In their message they stated that “This year’s dark anniversary marking 80 years since the crime of Hiroshima and Nagasaki coincides with the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.”
A demonstration was held at Corfu Airport by the Labour Centre, during which members of the unions distributed a mass message—also translated into English—to workers and visitors.
The demonstration took place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, “which marked yet another dark page in the crimes of imperialism,” as stated in the Labour Centre’s press release.
The message goes on to state that “This year’s dark anniversary marking 80 years since the crime of Hiroshima and Nagasaki coincides with the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, adding yet another crime of imperialism against a people struggling to survive and to have their own homeland.”
In closing, it states: “Today, the Labour Centre of Corfu sent an internationalist message…Greek workers stand on the right side of history — with the peoples who resist imperialism!"
