Let΄s Do It Greece: Voluntary clean-up of villages and beaches
CORFU. The clean-up of towns, villages and beaches is part of the Let΄s Do It Greece voluntary project on Sunday 29th April throughout Greece. The following areas are participating in Corfu:
Agios Giorgios Pagon beach clean-up
CORFU. Organized by Pagi Cultural Society, Arkadades Cultural Society, Kavadades Cultural Society and Afionas Cultural Society.
Police give cycling lessons to pupils at Corfu Primary School
CORFU. Pupils learnt about the proper use of bicycles and how to cycle safely in town.
Potamos Cultural Society to visit Coast Guard patrol boat
CORFU. Potamos Cultural Society is organizing a visit to see a Coast Gusrd patrol boat on Sunday.
Erimitis beach clean-up
CORFU. The ΄Erimitis Plus΄ Association is beginning its spring campaign to do an extensive clean-up of the Erimitis shoreline along with friends and other lovers of the ecosystem.
Mantouki shore clean-up by 4th Sea Scouts group

Power cuts – Friday 27 April
CORFU. The Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DEDIE) has announced that there will be power cuts on Friday 27 April from 08.30 to 14.00 in order to carry out necessary work on the Central Lines.

CORFU. As part of the national voluntary project ΄Let΄s Do It Greece΄, there will be a clean-up of Almiros beach.
Seamen΄s strike on May 1
The strike will begin at 00:01 on Tuesday 1st May and end at 24:00 on the same day.
Air Scouts taking part in clean-up with Let΄s do it Greece
CORFU. Once again Corfu Air Scouts are taking part in Let΄s do it Greece clean-up activities.
Reassurances from seismologists following 3.7 Richter earthquake in Achaia
PATRA. The earthquake happened at 08:25 with the epicentre in Saravali near Patras. It was felt in Patra as well as in parts of Achaia and Aitolokarnania.
