CORFU. Runners in the 10km run will tackle 424m of elevation gain, while the 22km course climbs a total of 1,150m. The starting point for both events is Nymfes Square.

The Nymfes Waterfall Trail has now become an established event. It is a nature trail-running race with elevation gain that, on the 22 km course, exceeds 1,000 m. There is also a cycling race, which will not take place this year due to delays in preparation.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, and will feature two trail-running races: one of 10 km and one of 22 km.

The 10 km race has a positive elevation gain of 424 m, while the 22 km race has 1,150 m. The starting point for both races is Ntmfes Square. Participation is open to all male and female athletes aged 18 and over, who will compete at their own responsibility. Participants must have undergone a recent medical examination and will be required to confirm and sign the official liability declaration that appears immediately after completing their registration form.

It should be noted that the 22 km race is a demanding one. Starting from Nymfes Square, the route passes through the village neighbourhoods and heads toward the church of Ai Giorgis Platonas. From there, runners follow a route with alternating terrain and gradients toward the Nymfes Hermitage. At that point, they reach the trail leading to Nerotrouvies (Water Cascades) and the river. After crossing a wooden bridge, they continue uphill along trails and forest roads toward the waterfalls.

The course then follows the river, with runners crossing through the water. From there begins the longest uphill section of the route, leading to the monastery of Agia Triada. This part of the course is rich in greenery and scenic views. From that point onward, the return route toward the finish line at the village square begins.
