Choral evening at NAOK on Friday 7 August
CORFU. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the historic sports facility.
The NAOK administration has taken an excellent initiative to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the “historic sports facilities”, as it describes them — and rightly so — while also fighting to put an end to the uncertainty surrounding ownership of the facilities, which should be granted to the club permanently.
NAOK is a sporting school through which thousands of children have grown up and been nurtured with values, making an invaluable contribution to sport and society. It is time for its own home to officially become the property of the club.
On Friday, 7 August, with the Corfu Choir Association and the Ionian Islands Regional Authority as co-organisers, and with the support of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands (Department of Culture and Sport), a choral gathering entitled “Singing by the Waves” will take place, with free admission.
The event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm at the club’s facilities, and the following will take part: Lefkimmi Choir, Evropouli I. Kapodistrias Choir, a joint performance by the choirs of the cultural societies of Avliotes and Kontokali, and the Corfu Lykeio Ellinidon Choir.
We hope that the public will come and enjoy this evening by the sea, accompanied by the sound of music.
