Dozens of trees blown down by the strong winds in Corfu
CORFU. Dozens of trees have fallen throughout the island since last night because of the strong winds. Several of these fell on electricity cables, causing power cuts, whilst others have blocked roads.

CORFU. Due to the forecast for extreme weather conditions (strong winds) in Corfu over the next three days, the Council is warning people to be extra careful because of the danger of branches breaking off tall trees.

Meeting at Ionian University: Tree disease, tree-cutting and innovative app designed by students
CORFU.The Region of Ionian Islands and the Ionian University, in collaboration with the Municipality of Corfu organized a discussion meeting on Wednesday in the lecture theatre of the Ionian University. Participating in the meeting were the Administrator for Regional Agricultural Finance, Stamatis Gkinis, the Regional Deputy Governor, Giannis Fontanas, the delegate from Corfu Municipality, Leonidas Pagkratis, representing the Ionian University, Markos Avlonitis and Giannis Karidis, along with students and farmers.
