Lighthouse of Life event – ΄Become a volunteer bone marrow donor too΄
CORFU. On Saturday 20 September, from 18:30 to 21:00, members of Lighthouse of Life (Faros Zois) will be at Pentofanaro.
(Lighthouse of Life) On the occasion of the World Marrow Donor Day, which is celebrated on the third Saturday of September, the association is organising an event at the Pentofanaro in Corfu Town.
On Saturday, September 20th, from 18:30 to 21:00, the members of Lighthouse of Life Faros Zois) will be at Pentofanaro to inform anyone interested and to guide them through the process of registering as a volunteer bone marrow donor with the ORAMA ELPIDAS registry.
Lighthouse of Life is an association that began its work in Corfu around this very time of year, with the aim of raising awareness in the local community to strengthen the World Registry of Volunteer Bone Marrow Donors. Thanks to the association’s efforts and its collaboration with the Blood Donation Department of Corfu General Hospital, the island has already provided eight compatible donors, who have each given the gift of life to a patient somewhere in the world.
