Site inspection for new prison at Rikini
CORFU. The team from the Suitability Committee was also accompanied by a delegation from the Municipality of North Corfu.
On Thursday morning, November 6, a crucial visit took place in Corfu by the Land Suitability Committee paid a crucial visit to Corfu with regard to the project of the new Corfu Prison. This development is a matter of major importance for the island’s legal community, which has been working intensively to promote it since the beginning of the current term of the Corfu Lawyers Association.
The Committee, which was composed of senior officials and technical experts, conducted a very detailed inspection for several hours of the proposed property at the “Rikini” location in North Corfu.

The team was also accompanied by a delegation from the Municipality of North Corfu, as well as the President of the Lawyers Association, Yiannis Kontos.
Following the on-site inspection, the Committee held a meeting to record and evaluate the findings. The Committee’s report is expected to be announced in the near future.
