CORFU. Students, pupils, Scouts, and Guides took part in the ceremony, accompanied by their teachers and group leaders.
The ceremony with students and the town’s organisations took place at midday on Tuesday, March 24, ahead of today's National Anniversary.

In the morning, talks were held in primary and secondary schools about the significance of March 25, 1821. At the same time, school buildings were festively decorated with flags.

At noon, the traditional wreath-laying ceremony was held at the town’s memorial. University students, school pupils, Scouts and Guides participated, accompanied by their teachers, and group leaders.

An honorary contingent, including a philharmonic band, took part in the event and rendered honours during the wreath-laying ceremony.

With this ceremony, the town’s youth paid due tribute to the heroes of the Revolution, in preparation for today’s main celebration.
