Fire Service called out after short circuit at Corfu Town office

Alarm in Corfu Town on Thursday afternoon (27/8), when a short circuit occurred in the wiring of an office located on the first floor of a building on Stamatiou Desylla Street.

The incident was preceded by a sudden power outage affecting the businesses located directly below the office, causing concern among shopkeepers and residents in the area.

The Fire Service responded immediately, arriving at the scene with four vehicles and the necessary personnel. Thanks to the firefighters’ swift intervention, the situation was quickly brought under control before it could escalate. The incident ended without any injuries or serious property damage being reported.
