CORFU. 948 checks were carried out.
Between 23 and 26 December police in Corfu, Zakynthos, Cephalonia and Lefkada carried out checks with the following results:

No. of vehicles checked: 948
No. of driving offences: 196, including the following:
- 24 speeding
- 12 driving under the influence
- 21 not wearing crash helmet
- 7 not wearing seat belts
- 8 using mobile phone whilst driving
- 1 driving on wrong side of road
- 11 without driving licences
- 1 running a red light
- 3 without MOT
