129 driving offences in Corfu and Lefkada in six hours

CORFU. Four arrests were made.
Between 07:00 and 13:00 today, 2 February January police in Corfu and Lefkada carried out checks for the following:
216 vehicles and 254 individuals were checked, leading to 4 arrests in Lefkada for the following offences:
- 2 for driving without a licence
- 1 for insubordination
- 1 for illegal residency
There were 129 driving offences, including the following:
10 vehicles were immobilised for driving without a licence, being without MOT and having worn tyres.
There were also 5 offences in Corfu of smoking in no smoking areas.
- Theft and burglary
- Dangerous driving
- Violations of regulations at catering establishments
- Drug dealing
- Illegal immigrants216 vehicles and 254 individuals were checked, leading to 4 arrests in Lefkada for the following offences:
- 2 for driving without a licence
- 1 for insubordination
- 1 for illegal residency
There were 129 driving offences, including the following:
- 36 speeding
- 9 not wearing seat belts
- 5 not wearing crash helmet
- 2 using mobile phone whilst driving
- 11 without driving licences
- 3 driving on wrong side of the road
- 3 driving on wrong side of the road
- 4 with uninsured vehicle
- 7 without MOT
There were also 5 offences in Corfu of smoking in no smoking areas.
