Corfu pupils to represent Greece in STEM Racing Aramco 2025 World Finals in Singapore

CORFU. The talented pupils will compete against teams from 32 countries in the largest World Final held to date, from September 27 to October 2 at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.
Team ORAMA (www.oramastemracing.gr), consisting of 6 core and 6 supporting pupils from Andrioti School in Corfu, Anatolia College in Thessaloniki, and Xanthi 1st High School, will represent Greece on the international stage later this month, when they compete in the STEM Racing Aramco 2025 World Finals in Singapore.
Representing Corfu as core team members are:
Konstantinos Siotos (17) from Corfu 4th High School
Alexandros Soueref (15) from Corfu 3rd High School
Supporting members are:
Michalis Kominos (15) from Corfu 4th High School
Ioannis Siotos (14) from Corfu 7th Junior High School
STEM Racing, formerly known as F1 in Schools, challenges pupils to form their own Formula 1 team and to design, build, test, and race a 15-centimetre ‘Car of the Future’ powered by compressed gas. In the World Finals, teams present their cars, pit displays, portfolios, and oral presentations to the judges, while races take place on a 20-metre track, where the cars cover the distance in just over one second.
The talented pupils will compete against teams from 32 countries in the largest World Final held to date, from September 27 to October 2 at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. The event will take place alongside the Singapore Airlines Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, bringing together over 400 competitors who will showcase their skills in engineering, design, entrepreneurship, and teamwork.
The stakes are high, with a university scholarship, the World Champions’ trophy, and more than 15 specialised awards — each supported by a Formula 1 team or industry partner — up for grabs.
The pupils state: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After months of preparation, the time has come to represent our country, our island, and our school in the most demanding STEM competition in the world! We are proud and very excited.” They continue: “Beyond our school and families who supported us, we also want to thank the organisations in Corfu who shared our dream and stood by us.”
Andrew Denford, Founder and Chairman of STEM Racing, commented:
“This will be our 20th World Finals event and the fifth time we are hosting it in Singapore, so we know it’s a world-class venue and that an incredible week lies ahead. I know how hard the students are working in this final stretch, but I can assure them that all their efforts will be worthwhile. Not only will they showcase their talents on a global stage, but they will also create lifelong memories, build international friendships, and perhaps open doors to future careers in engineering, design, and motorsport.”
The STEM Racing Aramco 2025 World Finals are supported by Title Sponsor Aramco and partners including Denford, Autodesk, Ansys, Singapore Grand Prix, DHL, Amaron, Project Management Institute Educational Foundation, Mitutoyo, UCL Mechanical Engineering, Singapore Tourism Board, and FIA.
